2021 Thanksgiving Food Drive

A Huge Thank You to all of our families!  Thanks to your generosity and giving spirit, we have collected a total of 4069 food items to help the needy in our community!  This will be more than enough to fill the Thanksgiving Baskets, and the Christmas Baskets, and there will be extra for our Food Pantry that gives food to our local families who need some extra!  Thank you!  The generosity of our school is amazing!

No matter how many items your family brought in, it was a contribution toward the success of this drive, and we say Thank You!

To motivate our students and add some friendly competition, we included a contest for the class who brought in the most average items per student.  It really came down to the wire this year, and so many students and parents were sitting on pins and needles until 3:00 today, when the last of the items could be brought in!

And now, for the moment your students are asking you about. . . (Drumroll Please. . . . . . )

With an average of 51 items per student, (a total of 663 items, and 13 students in the class), 3rd place goes to SIXTH GRADE!

With an average of 67.13 items per student, (a total of 1007 items, and 15 students in the class), 2nd place goes to FOURTH GRADE!

With an average of 71.42 items per student, (a total of 857 items, and 12 students in the class), 1st place goes to EIGHTH GRADE!  You have earned a chocolate chip pizzert and ice cream party!!!

When Mrs. Love and I realized that the 2nd place class actually had more items, and incredible class participation, we felt compelled to also award FOURTH GRADE with a chocolate chip pizzert and ice cream party!!!  Congratulations and THANK YOU!

Because we will be starting Advent right after Thanksgiving, these rewards will take place in January.

Congratulations to all of our classes, because the real winners are the needy in our community who will have a bountiful Thanksgiving and Christmas, thanks to the giving spirit of our students and families!

Have a wonderful weekend, and a Blessed Thanksgiving!!!
